Choco-Berry Mochi Balls

These chilled rice balls make for a fantastic dessert.

For the filling
6 tablespoons strawberry jam
chocolate spread
For the mochi
2/3 cup water
1/4 cup sugar
1 cup glutinous rice flour
sweet potato starch for dusting
1 Make the filling: Roll jam into 6 balls. Wrap each with chocolate spread; roll again. Chill for 20 minutes.
2 Make the mochi: In a microwaveable bowl, mix water, sugar, and glutinous rice flour. Microwave for 2 minutes, stirring mixture every 30 seconds.
3 Remove mochi from bowl and divide into 6 pieces. Dust a flat pan with sweet potato starch and flatten each piece of mochi. Wrap mochi around the chocolate-strawberry balls. Chill until ready to serve.
